Cocada: A sweet and creamy coconut dessert from Angola

Ingredients:

Instructions:


  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the coconut milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon (if using).

  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.

  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Remove from heat and let cool completely.

  5. Pour the cocada into a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan.

  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.


Tips:


  • For a richer flavor, use coconut cream instead of coconut milk.
